01

Your sign-in cookie

The essential takeroom_session cookie identifies your signed-in session. On the hosted service it uses Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax protections. A session lasts up to 14 days unless you sign out or access is revoked earlier. The cookie contains a session token, not your password or video files.

02

Preferences and browser drafts

Local storage remembers your light or dark theme and keeps a workspace-specific browser backup of review data while saves complete. That backup can contain private notes, comments, decisions, and playback preferences. An additional browser copy can be kept when two sessions edit the same take, so a draft can be recovered.

03

Signing out and clearing data

Signing out ends the current server session and removes the active workspace’s normal browser backup. Stored data from other workspaces or conflict recovery may remain in the browser. You can remove all of this site’s stored data in your browser settings. Clearing cookies signs this browser out; clearing site data also removes local preferences and draft backups. Save pending work before clearing it.

04

Optional tracking
